working with the community + their memories

Above is A VISUAL EXPERIMENT MADE DURING A PROJECT I WAS WORKING ON WITH RICHARD FRANKS OF WE CAN CREATE TO CAPTURE AND SHARE THE HISTORY OF OUR REGION. PEOPLE’S MEMORIES AND STORIES WERE COLLECTED AND SHARED OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME AND IN meaningful CREATIVE WAYS. I helped to design one of the books for this project. and Below you can see me working with the elderly and school children to develop their ideas for typesetting a chosen seven words which would describe a chosen photo. We then took their ideas further with them, and printed it using riso, and staged an exhibition. Read about the project at LIVING MEMORY
