As a freelance graphic designer, questioning, observation and conversation is where the brief starts. I play with words and typography, imagery and illustration, but at the core is research, understanding, intuition and ideas. The result can be minimal or maximal, digital or hand-rendered. i am open to working on most types of design, communication, brand identity, whatever a brief might require. if i can’t do it alone i will collaborate with others to build the team with the right skillset.
i operate with flexibility and independence and am never content to be still. Being a lecturer means i am practiced at responding thoughtfully but instantaneously. also to consider the wider context of anything. university is an energising environment where I get to interact with lots of different concepts and processes. also to watch read and discuss how design industry is evolving. It means my creative work is always playful and exploratory.
