BRAND ID + designs for REGIONAL VOICE THEATRE

Really enjoyed this commission by GLEN BUGLASS AND DAVID CALCUTT for the regional voice THEATRE COMPANY. the PERFORMANCES WERE MINIMAL, HARD-HITTING, GRITTY and CHALLENGING. GLEN asked for the brand id TO BE ‘BRECHTIAN’. i used LETTERPRESS and various raw markmaking. Then contrary to the style of IMAGERY, the photoshoots were a real giggle. FOR THE DARLASTON DOG FIGHT PERFORMANCE, THE STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER IN THE IMAGE WAS my friend’s sweet dog called DREXEL. at the PHOTOSHOOT drexel WOULDN’T LOOK VICIOUS UNTIL the BRAINWAVE OF THROWING SLICED HAM at him. MY CHILDREN PROVIDED THE haunted eyes peering through the WINTER TALES typography (representing the CHILD GHOSTS in the stories). I found the photos below…
